The Fletcher School Summer Programs are designed to provide Fletcher and non-Fletcher Students with learning disabilities and attention difficulties an opportunity to maintain and improve academic skills during the summer. Using multisensory techniques and working at their own level in a structured classroom environment, students receive additional reinforcement of newly learned skills or remediation of weaknesses.
One-on-one tutoring by Fletcher School teachers is available throughout the summer. Tutoring sessions are designed to meet the individual needs of the student in reading comprehension, written expression, math, computer keyboarding and study skills/learning strategies. Orton-Gillingham tutoring is available by tutors certified by the Orton-Gillingham Academy.
The Summer 2012 program brochure will be available in March, 2012.
