After School & Summer Tutoring

Orton-Gillingham Tutoring applies multisensory instructional methods to teach literacy skills related to reading, writing, and spelling. The tutoring sessions, typically lasting one hour, are tailored to the student's learning style, incorporating visual, auditory, and kinesthetic techniques as needed. Orton-Gillingham tutoring is one-on-one due to its diagnostic and prescriptive nature, allowing for personalized attention and progress tracking. Orton-Gillingham Tutoring with a teacher who is credentialed through to the Associate Level costs $90 per hour. Orton-Gillingham Tutoring with a teacher who is credentialed at the Certified Level or higher costs $105 per hour. 

Speech Therapy is focused on developing and improving communication skills, including speech, language, and social communication. During these one-on-one sessions, a therapist actively works with the student to assess and address any areas where they may need support. The goal is to promote long-term success in communication, whether it’s improving articulation, expanding vocabulary, or enhancing social interactions. Depending on the student's needs, therapy sessions can occur once or twice a week, with each session lasting about 30 minutes. Speech Therapy costs $65 per half hour. 
 

Executive Function Coaching helps students improve their planning, prioritization, focus, and task management skills, ultimately fostering better follow-through. Throughout regular coaching meetings, students learn to make goal-centered decisions and develop effective plans to achieve their objectives. The initial coaching sessions are an hour long and include planning activities and supervised work time to help the student maintain focus, establish processes, and develop good habits. As students adopt these skills and habits, later coaching sessions may be reduced to 30 minutes. It's important to note that Executive Function Coaching does not involve homework completion or content remediation. Additionally, coaching sessions can be shared by a maximum of two students at a time. Executive Functioning Coaching costs $85 per hour for an individual, or $50 per hour each for students sharing a session (maximum of 2).
 

Content Tutoring is focused on the remediation of skills or content related to a specific class. During these one-on-one sessions, a tutor actively works with the student to identify and address any gaps in their understanding. The goal is to promote future success in the content area. Depending on the student's needs, tutoring sessions can occur once or twice a week, with each session lasting an hour. Content Tutoring costs $65 per hour.
 

SAT/ACT Coaching supports students in preparing for standardized college entrance exams by building test-taking strategies, reinforcing key academic concepts, and strengthening time management and focus under pressure. Each one-on-one coaching session is tailored to the student’s individual needs and goals, targeting areas such as reading comprehension, grammar and usage, mathematical reasoning, and analytical writing. Sessions typically last one hour and may include a combination of instruction, guided practice, and review of assigned test prep exercises. The coaching not only enhances content knowledge but also builds student confidence and reduces test anxiety through consistent practice and feedback. ACT/SAT Coaching costs $90 per hour.
