Math is all around us in everyday life. Yet many adults, especially those helping children with homework, know how quickly our math skills can fade without practice.

Advances in neuroscience and cognitive psychology are reshaping what we know about how students learn, renewing emphasis on proven practices while introducing powerful new approaches. Join Marilyn Zecher for a presentation that explores how mathematics instruction can evolve in light of this research to strengthen student achievement and confidence across grade levels.

Participants will explore strategies that build fluency through intentional scaffolding, deepen conceptual understanding through explicit instruction and engaging tools, and integrate time-tested methods now validated by contemporary research.

Designed for K–12 educators and parents alike, this interactive session offers practical, research-aligned strategies you can apply. Attendees will leave with fresh insights and a renewed understanding of how students learn math most effectively.
