This online training course is available to Associate members of the Orton-Gillingham Academy. The course combines synchronous and asynchronous learning, with content material presented through independent study followed by virtual in-class discussions. The live virtual classes will be held on Mondays for two hours, with three to four hours of independent work assigned for the next class meeting. Some of the independent work hours include a Book Club to study Louisa Moats’ Speech to Print in depth with a Fellow in Training. There will also be three Saturday morning classes. Videos, study guides, activities, and quizzes will be assigned as part of both the synchronous and asynchronous learning activities. The live sessions will be recorded and added to our Google Clinical Class Site. While class attendance is mandatory, please let Joanie know before the live Zoom class if you are unable to attend the scheduled class. She will let you know how to make up the missed class.
